Remineralising Toothpaste
First things first: I am not a dentist or a health practitioner. I absolutely am a human that wants to take care of our stunner of a planet while keeping my teeth healthy. Over the past five years, I’ve become increasingly aware of how wasteful basic hygienic care can be. Let’s talk about toothpaste.

- 5 parts calcium carbonate
- 1 Activated Charcoal
- 2 parts baking soda
- 3 parts xylitol powder (optional, helps with taste)
- 5 parts fractionated coconut oil’s
- essential oils (such as mint, cinnamon, orange, and myrrh, optional)
Benefits:
-waste-free packaging
-the microbiome in your mouth is important, antibacterial products kill those bacteria.
-research shows that your overall health begins with oral health
-triclosan has been banned by the FDA in soap and body wash but is still allowed and used in many kinds of toothpaste
-sodium laurel sulfate is toxic and has no beneficial property for cleaning teeth, it is only used as a foaming agent
-by making your own toothpaste, you have complete control over which ingredients are used
