Let’s be real, it’s tough to be a human. Cultivators is a space where you can come as you are and sift through a multitude of information, research, and stories that will give you tools to make being alive an enriched experience. We believe that mental, physical, and environmental health are woven together and require daily attention. Some days we’re killin’ it, and others we need additional support.
Let’s break it down.
Mental health. It’s sneaky because you cant take a look at it with your eyes balls. Usually, when something isn’t right, your physical and environmental health toss up red flags that you and those around you can see. Your mental health is affected by absolutely everything. Stigmas, thoughts, insecurities, prejudices, your environment, your childhood, your physical health. Only in recent years has mental health become an aspect of our well-being that’s talked about. If everything else roots itself in our mental health, you better believe we’ll be spending time exploring here.
Physical health. Everyone wants to say their piece when it comes to our bodies. Diet culture, social media, advertising, the food industry, fast fashion and so many more all have their little hearts set on getting under our skin (sometimes literally) and convincing us to purchase “the perfect body.” Through cosmetic surgery, fitness classes, shapewear, and blah blah blah. Hear this, NONE OF THOSE THINGS ARE BAD. Each of us is on our very own and very personal journey. Each of those things can be positive for some, and very negative for others. We’ll explore many facets of physical health and how to build a strong foundation for your individual needs.
Environmental health. This topic is a giant. This covers everything from the health and sustainability of our planet all the way down to the cleanliness of your car. Whether you live in a studio apartment, a villa in the Italian countryside, or your car, each of those spaces makes a carbon footprint, and how we care for that space sets us up for success or unnecessary stress.
So, sit down, stand up or stretch it out. We’re on our way to learning new things, being reminded of old, and cultivating a life you can’t wait to wake up for.
p.s. While many of our posts include interviews and quotes from professionals, doctors, and experts, we at Cultivators do not claim to be any of those professions. We are merely knowledge-hungry messengers seeking to provide you with community and support on your journey.
